Oprah Winfrey is a lady with a big influence on a huge audience. This influence is invariably used for the power of good; in some cases it can cause a huge shift in perception about one product or another. In the example that I’m about to discuss, this product was acai. Weight loss was the focus of Oprah’s discussion on this topic, and as we all know if there is anything that is close to the heart of most of the population in the western world, it is weight loss. Acai Berry Diet has innumerable benefits; the weight loss benefits of acai are just a nice side effect.
The Acai Berry is actually a drupe. The seed of the acai drupe makes up 80% of the fruit. Other than this the acai is very similar in many respects to grapes. Acai even grows in bunches, just like grapes.
Acai comes in many different forms — rarely (unless you live in the Brazilian rainforest) in the form of an actual berry) — and some may be better suited to weight loss: acai purees, supplements, pulps, juices, powders and pills are just some of the options available. For convenience you might consider acai supplements; for cooking consider pulps or preserves.
