Iron Cactus: Top Mexican Restaurant

If you’re in Austin, Texas, and you’re into Mexican food and classy Mexican restaurants, then I can highly recommend the Iron Cactus Mexican restaurant down on 6th Street. A fantastic place with great staff, this contemporary Mexican eatery has all the charm you could want from a classic Tex-Mex restaurant.
And it has the tequila that everyone is raving about.
They rave about the tequila for very good reason, and this is possibly one of the greatest collections of the golden liquid to be found anywhere in the US. A tequila lovers’ mecca, if ever there was one. As an added bonus, of course, they serve excellent Mexican food. Whether you’re there for the food or the drink on the rooftop bar, I’m pretty sure you’re going to have an outstanding evening.
Everything on the menu seems to be good, although I would recommend that you try the fish tacos and the tortilla soup. In our big group we tried nearly everything and using some kind of inaccurate distributed vote it appeared that these two dishes were the clear winners. We had had a few tequilas, of course, so any judgment and integrity we may have had was left on the rooftop bar!
