Freeze Dried -v- Drum Dried Acai Berry

Acai supplements are a great way for you to experience acai.
Many people are rightly confused about the different types of acai berry supplements that are currently on the market. There are so many different types to choose from, all produced using different methods and all claiming to be the best, that people might just get confused and give in. This is a no-win situation for anyone, and it is the intention of this article to give some guidance as to what is hot and what is not in the world of the acai berry supplement.
The two main methods of production for the acai berry supplements are drum dried and freeze dried. A drum dried acai berry is one which has been dried out and reduced to powder by subjecting it to intense heats. This is an effective method, but unfortunately the heat tends to kill off all the goodness.
The best method — but one which is used surprisingly infrequently — is freeze drying the acai berry straight after it has been harvested. Freeze drying retains much more of the goodness, nutrients and antioxidants than the other methods, and it means that the acai berry provides you with much more value when it arrives in your home.
