Something which needed to be done to stop Acai scams

I have been buying various products online for a long time, but I never came across any deceptive marketer or seller. Recently when I heard the news Attorney general Terry Goddard making Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. (“CCN”) to pay around $1.3 million to state for cheating their customers and violating all laws just to earn a quick money, I was relieved. I never came across such online seller, but I heard the misery created by CCN from a couple of my friends. They all were charged for high cost products and services from CCN which they never opted to buy. And when they tried to call customer care at CCN, I think you better guess what would have happened!

Later as explained by Graham Gibson, owner of CCN, there were some hidden products selected in the order from in which they were offering free samples of Acai products. I mean the market has really reacted well to Acai. These little berries really are magical berries. But using deceptive tactics to make money out of low cost risk free Acai berry samples didn’t prove to be a good strategy for CCN. They ended up paying more than they earned through this Acai scam! So, I think it was good example to learn that we really have to be extremely careful before buying anything online even if it’s a free product.
